The joy of creating Photo Books…by Rachel Diasselliss
Being a Mom is a job that I always knew I wanted, and fortunately, I was blessed with three beautiful children. From the moment they were born, I have been acutely aware of how quickly time would pass and have tried to hold on to each and every moment with them. But life gets busy, and hours turn into days which turn into weeks and years, and sadly, when we look back it sometimes seems that life is one big blur. I, like most moms, have tried to capture these memories with pictures – lots and lots of pictures!
I decided that rather than simply store all of our photos on the computer, I would create photo books that include not only pictures but and stories as well. I have created a set for each child as well as a family set. When my children are all grown, they will each have their own set to take, and I will get to keep my family set.
My hope is that these books will serve as a documentary of my children’s youth, something that they can perhaps share with their own children someday. For me, it’s a way to hold onto all of those precious moments with my family. Not just the major milestones and events, but the little things as well….the backyard bar-b-ques, waiting for the school bus, playing dress-up, the list goes on and on….because life really does go by way too fast.
